This is a business focused on helping individuals and organizations connect for a more productive future. I can tangibly see the difference we make in lives and organizations each day, and for me, that is the most rewarding part.

Dana has earned dual industry certifications as a Certified Personnel Consultant and a Certified Temporary Specialist affording her the ability to work with clients not just as a recruiter, but at a consultative level. She is the ultimate team player, and although her tenure at Delta Dallas is 9 years and counting, she would never ask a team player to do something she wouldn't be willing to do. Among her peers, Dana is known as an experienced professional with an amazing memory and the willingness to help out when needed. It's no coincidence that her nickname at Delta Dallas is "Yoda". What is the best thing about being in the staffing industry? What motivates you? Changing people's lives every day. Whether I've made a client's life easier by finding them the perfect candidate or the candidate's life easier by finding them the perfect job - my work is immensely satisfying. I'm motivated by the success stories from both clients and candidates. There's nothing better than a hug from a candidate with a smiling, "Thank you!" involved.
What makes you unique? I'm a certified goofball! Seriously - there are two things that stand out when I describe myself. One - I can talk to a brick wall, and probably make it talk back. Two - I have an amazing memory for people, places and things. There's a reason my nickname is "Yoda"!

What is the best thing about being in the staffing industry? What motivates you? I love finding that "purple squirrel" candidate. Finding the right match...one in which the client and candidate are both ecstatic is amazing. There is NOTHING like the buzz of a great hire.
What makes you unique? Besides my hair? I would have to say my ability to see the potential in people, situations, etc. that others can't or don't perceive...I never give up without a "fight" and truly believe that this life is sweet.

What makes you unique? I think my management style makes me unique. Although I am involved in the workings of my team - coaching them and providing the tools they need to become successful - I don't heavily monitor smaller activities. Like our clients, I focus on the results of their daily activity and give them room to become stronger, more decisive recruiters.

Gabbie Strome is a new addition to Delta Dallas. She joined us in 2011 as our new Marketing Coordinator. Gabbie got her Bachelor’s degree at UNT in Radio, Television and Film, and minored in Marketing. She started doing graphic design, web design, photography and writing for her parents’ custom jewelry business ten years ago, did marketing and event planning in the service industry for several years, and started her own media company for audio production, web design, writing, photography and more. Gabbie has spent the last six years working for a radio program and consulting for her media company.
Gabbie brings her joy of Marketing and audio and video knowledge to Delta Dallas. She’s excited about the opportunity that Delta Dallas has afforded her, and we’re happy to have her.
What do you like to do when you are not at work? Right now, since I’m so new, when I’m not at work I work. Delta Dallas makes me want to do good work, so sometimes I take it home. For my decompression, I’m recently married, so spending time with my husband is something I really enjoy. We both bike, hike, play computer games, cook and eat. We love to eat.

Vanessa has been both in the staffing industry and with Delta Dallas for five years. She graduated from UT Dallas with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Information Management and joined the Delta Dallas Team in 2006. Vanessa carries a variety of accounting duties at Delta Dallas not the least of which is making sure that ALL Delta Dallas employees get paid. She is a strong team contributor and constantly working to problem-solve and create processes that make accounting operations easier for everyone.
What is the best thing about being in the staffing industry? What motivates you? I love what Delta Dallas does as a company for ALL of its employees. I really feel like I am self-motivating. I strive to excel at everything that I do and don't like to disappoint anyone. Other than that...CASH MONEY is a big motivator and so is time off.
What makes you unique? A lot of people think of accountatnts as boring "bean counters" ...I am anything BUT that! If there is one thing I pride myself on it is my personality. I can have fun at work and it makes for a much more enjoyable day!
Accomplishments: I am learning how to be a working mom...which is not easy, but I am taking it one day at a time.

Mark Smeltzer oversees all of the financial and accounting functions for Delta Dallas. He has been with Delta Dallas for more than 7 years, but has 15 years of industry experience. Mark is a Certified Public Accountant, and daily ensures the smooth operations of everything financial at Delta Dallas. In fact, everyone at Delta Dallas depends on Mark for two things:
(1) Accounting processes running smoothly. (2) A sense of humor that is hard to forget. Working against the introverted, silent archetype so often thought of in an accountant, Mark keeps everyone in stitches while somehow managing to keep things in meticulous order. He is a valued member of the Delta Dallas team and essential to company operations, as he works with leadership, recruiters, salespeople and support to accomplish a variety of tasks and build financial strategy for the future.

Ashlea has proven herself to be a professional through her consistency of care, quality of work and willingness to do whatever is asked of her when assisting clients, candidates and the Delta Dallas Team.
What is the best thing about being in the staffing industry? What motivates you? The best thing: It's awesome going home at night knowing that I played a part in helping someone with their job search. If that's not motivating...I don't know what is!
