As CEO, Don leverages his experience in operations, sales, IT, and accounting to provide leadership and strategic guidance for the company. What is the best thing about being in the staffing industry? What motivates you? People motivate me. This is a business focused on helping individuals and organizations connect for a more productive future. I can tangibly see the difference we make in lives and organizations each day, and for me, that is the most rewarding part.

What makes you unique? I have bowled an 800 series and a few 300 games.

Debbie Trevino, CPC, CTS, Chief Strategy Officer

Debbie Trevino has built a reputation as a strategic partner for a wide-range of DFW organizations. As a partner at Delta Dallas, Debbie works with firms to help them best hire top-tier talent, increase staffing effectiveness, and reduce attrition. She has a comprehensive grasp of cyclical hiring plans and the ability to help clients conduct staffing audits, develop systems for workforce management and implement strategic hiring plans. For 19 years, Debbie has worked alongside DFW clients helping them to align their staffing requirements with company objectives.

What is the best thing about being in the staffing industry? What motivates you? Truth be told, I love the staffing industry. It is always changing and it provides a constant challenge. I get to put my problem-solving skills to use each and every day. I'm motivated by the opportunity to help companies achieve greatness by hiring the right people at the right time.

Kim Follis, CPC, CTS, Executive Vice President

Kim Follis accepted the role of Vice President of Staffing in 2006. In her
23-year tenure with Delta Dallas, Kim has served in many roles and has been a vital part of the company’s success. As Vice President, Kim is responsible for leading recruitment teams in finding and securing top-tier candidates for a wide variety of clients. Kim and her team are passionate about matching the right candidate to the right employer, and work hard to ensure that relationships remain at the core of Delta Dallas’ business processes. Kim works with her staff as a manager, a coach and a mentor to elicit top production levels and unrivaled results from her team. Kim’s expertise and experience is widely acknowledged in the staffing profession, and she has been recognized at both the state and local levels for her recruiting ability. Perhaps the best evidence of her abilities can be found in the accolades that individuals and teams have received as a result of her guidance. Dana Lee, CPC, CTS, Senior Consultant

Dana Lee has been in the staffing industry for nine years. She is a top producer at Delta Dallas as well as the state and local level and has been recognized many times over for her excellence and production levels. Dana has earned dual industry certifications as a Certified Personnel Consultant and a Certified Temporary Specialist affording her the ability to work with clients not just as a recruiter, but at a consultative level. She is the ultimate team player, and although her tenure at Delta Dallas is 9 years and counting, she would never ask a team player to do something she wouldn't be willing to do. Among her peers, Dana is known as an experienced professional with an amazing memory and the willingness to help out when needed. It's no coincidence that her nickname at Delta Dallas is "Yoda". This year, Dana was inducted into the Delta Dallas Partner Circle. 2010 was the inaugural induction for this honor and Dana was one of the first in Delta Dallas history to receive this honor.

What is the best thing about being in the staffing industry? What motivates you? Changing people's lives every day. Whether I've made a client's life easier by finding them the perfect candidate or the candidate's life easier by finding them the perfect job - my work is immensely satisfying. I'm motivated by the success stories from both clients and candidates. There's nothing better than a hug from a candidate with a smiling, "Thank you!" involved.

What makes you unique? I'm a certified goofball! Seriously - there are two things that stand out when I describe myself. One - I can talk to a brick wall, and probably make it talk back. Two - I have an amazing memory for people, places and things. There's a reason my nickname is "Yoda"!

Kaz Rash, Consultant

Kaz Rash is one of our key administrative recruiters at Delta Dallas. Known for her ability to connect with client and candidate alike, Kaz leverages her strong communication skills and high level of intuitive reasoning to create lasting matches. She has an uncanny ability to match the right candidate to the right client at the right time, many times bringing stellar candidates to the table that a client wouldn't have considered without her insight.

What is the best thing about being in the staffing industry? What motivates you? I love finding that "purple squirrel" candidate. Finding the right match...one in which the client and candidate are both ecstatic is amazing. There is NOTHING like the buzz of a great hire.

What makes you unique? Besides my hair? I would have to say my ability to see the potential in people, situations, etc. that others can't or don't perceive...I never give up without a "fight" and truly believe that this life is sweet.

Melissa Johnson, CPC, Assistant Vice President

Melissa Johnson has been in the staffing industry for 13 years. As Assistant Vice President, Melissa manages high volume accounts that require a high level of service and candidate management. Melissa's experience allows her to create accurate matches in the midst of large-volume demands. Rick Lewis, Vice President

Rick Lewis is a seasoned professional with executive management and recruiting experience that spans almost two decades. Rick is known in the recruitment industry as a leader that can bring results from teams at any point in their development. Adept at shortening ramp-up times for new recruiters and pressing experienced recruiters toward new goals, Rick brings a history of success to the table. Rick came to Delta Dallas after having led a three-state operation for a $700 million IT staffing and consulting firm as well as having worked for a Fortune 500 company with total operations representing over $180 million in revenue. Rick is not only an expert at uncovering "hard-to-find" candidates, but he is also skilled at helping his team consistently bring results. As Vice President of the ProTech division, Rick's leadership has been indispensible to the strength of his team and the continued growth of Delta Dallas.

What is the best thing about being in the staffing industry? There is a profound sense of accomplishment when I have located a rare technical or engineering candidate for a client. Knowing that I have added someone to a team that will bring talent and innovation to the table is rewarding at every level.

What makes you unique? I think my management style makes me unique. Although I am involved in the workings of my team - coaching them and providing the tools they need to become successful - I don't heavily monitor smaller activities. Like our clients, I focus on the results of their daily activity and give them room to become stronger, more decisive recruiters.

Gary Williams, PMP, ITIL, Consultant, IT

Gary Williams came to Delta Dallas after a 25+ year career in the information technology field. Gary has a diverse background in application development, infrastructure and support and has had excellent success in building teams. As a technical recruiter, Gary leverages his experience in team management and technology to help clients build teams that produce strong results. He knows what technical management leaders are looking for in key IT staff and has the network to find the professionals that might not be readily available to most employers. Shannon Ryan, Sr. Technical Recruiter

Shannon Ryan brings over fifteen years of staffing industry experience to Delta Dallas. Although she just joined our team in 2011, Shannon brings with her several awards and a Bachelor’s from the University of North Texas. Her degree is in Human Resources, but she focused on recruiting while at UNT. She leverages her degree and aptitude for connecting people and professions in our ProTech side (Technical Recruiting). She’s been a top performer at two different companies, and credits this to her love of assisting people – both clients and candidates. Deborah Davis, CPC, CTS, Senior Consultant

Deborah Davis has over 15 years of solid experience in both corporate entity and recruiting/staffing industry environments. She has the ability to build strong relationships with HR partners, company leaders and department managers by continuously listening, learning and growing her knowledge of each client and the profiles of the candidates they seek. Kathy brings a tenured blend of experience in (national and international) corporate and agency recruitment. Ashley Theriot, CPC, CTS, Vice President of Business Development

Ashley Theriot was named Vice President of Business Development for Delta Dallas in 2007. Ashley has been in the staffing industry for nine years and draws on her experience and education (she has two master's degrees) to bring Delta Dallas clients extreme customer service. Ashley is a critical part of our leadership team and handles key accounts through designing service plans for new clients, developing new strategies for existing clients and delivering exceptional results to both. Ashley is well-known throughout the Dallas business community for her work as a member of the Dallas Regional Chamber and her involvement in the Economic Development Momentum Group. Ashley is also involved in many professional groups in the DFW area including Texas Wall Street Women, DFW Executive Roundtable, and many charitable organizations.

What is the best thing about being in the staffing business? What motivates you? I truly enjoy getting to know people and learn as much as I can about their business operations. It motivates me to help people, meaning the companies we work with and placing people in key roles. It is definitely a win-win!

M. Gabbie Strome, Marketing Coordinator

Gabbie Strome is a new addition to Delta Dallas. She joined us in 2011 as our new Marketing Coordinator. Gabbie got her Bachelor’s degree at UNT in Radio, Television and Film, and minored in Marketing. She started doing graphic design, web design, photography and writing for her parents’ custom jewelry business ten years ago, did marketing and event planning in the service industry for several years, and started her own media company for audio production, web design, writing, photography and more. Gabbie has spent the last six years working for a radio program and consulting for her media company.

Gabbie brings her joy of Marketing and audio and video knowledge to Delta Dallas. She’s excited about the opportunity that Delta Dallas has afforded her, and we’re happy to have her.

What do you like to do when you are not at work? Right now, since I’m so new, when I’m not at work I work. Delta Dallas makes me want to do good work, so sometimes I take it home. For my decompression, I’m recently married, so spending time with my husband is something I really enjoy. We both bike, hike, play computer games, cook and eat. We love to eat.

Vanessa Henkelman, Accounting Manager

Vanessa has been both in the staffing industry and with Delta Dallas for five years. She graduated from UT Dallas with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Information Management and joined the Delta Dallas Team in 2006. Vanessa carries a variety of accounting duties at Delta Dallas not the least of which is making sure that ALL Delta Dallas employees get paid. She is a strong team contributor and constantly working to problem-solve and create processes that make accounting operations easier for everyone.

What is the best thing about being in the staffing industry? What motivates you? I love what Delta Dallas does as a company for ALL of its employees. I really feel like I am self-motivating. I strive to excel at everything that I do and don't like to disappoint anyone. Other than that...CASH MONEY is a big motivator and so is time off.

What makes you unique? A lot of people think of accountatnts as boring "bean counters" ...I am anything BUT that! If there is one thing I pride myself on it is my personality. I can have fun at work and it makes for a much more enjoyable day!

Accomplishments: I am learning how to be a working mom...which is not easy, but I am taking it one day at a time.

Mark Smeltzer, CPA, Controller

Mark Smeltzer oversees all of the financial and accounting functions for Delta Dallas. He has been with Delta Dallas for more than 7 years, but has 15 years of industry experience. Mark is a Certified Public Accountant, and daily ensures the smooth operations of everything financial at Delta Dallas. In fact, everyone at Delta Dallas depends on Mark for two things:
(1) Accounting processes running smoothly. (2) A sense of humor that is hard to forget. Working against the introverted, silent archetype so often thought of in an accountant, Mark keeps everyone in stitches while somehow managing to keep things in meticulous order. He is a valued member of the Delta Dallas team and essential to company operations, as he works with leadership, recruiters, salespeople and support to accomplish a variety of tasks and build financial strategy for the future.

What is the best thing about being in the staffing industry? What motivates you? There seems to be a challenge every day. Ultimately, this industry is about helping people.

What makes you unique? I own a tractor!

Ashlea Basden, Director of First Impressions

Ashlea is one of the newest members of our Delta Dallas Customer Experience Team. The youngest member of our staff, Ashlea brings her best to the office every day. Ashlea helps to direct calls, assist candidates through the Delta Dallas process, and provide support to our recruiting team. Ashlea has proven herself to be a professional through her consistency of care, quality of work and willingness to do whatever is asked of her when assisting clients, candidates and the Delta Dallas Team.

What is the best thing about being in the staffing industry? What motivates you? The best thing: It's awesome going home at night knowing that I played a part in helping someone with their job search. If that's not motivating...I don't know what is!
